Trendy Words & The Word I Hate Most.

I hate the word Swag - or any rendition of the word for that matter. Swag, Swagger, or the ultimate brain kill Swagga just really irritates the piss out of me.

I don't know exactly what it is about the word that annoys me. It could be because my ex husband uses it now that he's decided he's black (sorry to whoever that offends). Maybe it's because he dressed my daughter up in clothing created by a predominately "black" label and told everyone she was "Swaggin" in her new Coogi set he bought her. But it's not just that - that would be silly.

I hate a lot of completely made up words - particularly the kind that only get used while they are trendy. I especially hate ones that have more than one meaning! And I really hate that I see so many people using these words because they think using them is cool (again, it's because the word has become trendy).

Just a little list of words and/or phrases that I can't stand.

• Bootylicious
• Metrosexual
• Fashionista
• Are you shitting me
• I'm not shitting you
• Apple bottom
• Kawaii

But seriously.. Swagga or whatever really tops the charts for me. I really can't stand this word. I hear it in songs a lot now or in reference to things as basic as a woman's purse. I don't get it. I can't wait until the word is no longer trendy.
